The Buncho Washing Station is located in Shantawene, a kebele in the famed Daye Bensa region of Ethiopia. This washing station is managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma with over 800 farmers contributing their coffee cherry to this station. Once this coffee is picked at peak ripeness, it is floated to sort out beans that have not developed. The cherries are then partially pulped and then placed on raised drying beds for 16-21 days.
